HST Onboard is a stand-alone program designed for use by bridge personnel in order to compute vessel-specific sailing state, stability and longitudinal strength information in any loaded condition. The program is supplied with data files, which define the vessel's geometric shape and loaded conditions, including capacity data for all of the tanks. HST Onboard enables the operator to:

  • Select and edit loaded condition information,
  • Verify the vessel’s compliance with intact stability requirements, as set in the Stability Booklet
  • Show and print reports, which may be used as the ship’s official record at the time of departure.

HST Onboard is an upgrade of Wolfson Unit’s Onboard Loading program, the first program to be approved by the United Kingdom Dept. of Transport's Marine Safety Agency which performs all of its calculations directly from the hull form.

  • The program can now automatically check the compliance of the vessel's draught with the allowed load line. The maximum allowed draught is automatically corrected based on the vessel's fresh water allowance and the water density. Allowed draught and pass/fail results are displayed in the loaded condition report.
  • The program can now automatically check the compliance of the vessel's attitude with the allowed minimum and maximum trim. Allowed trim and pass/fail results are displayed in the loaded condition report.
  • The program can now automatically check the compliance of the vessel's GM(fluid) with the allowed GM. The minimum allowed GM is interpolated from vessel-specific data, based on the actual trim and draught of the ship. Allowed GM and pass/fail results are displayed in the loaded condition report.
  • The program can now automatically check the compliance of the vessel's effective VCG with the allowed KG. The maximum allowed KG is interpolated from vessel-specific data, based on the actual trim and draught of the ship. Allowed KG and pass/fail results are displayed in the loaded condition report.

  • The program can now help assessing the longitudinal strength of the vessel. Actual longitudinal shearing forces and bending moments are automatically checked against strength requirements. Longitudinal strength tables and graphs are being displayed in the loaded condition report.
