Wolfson Unit presence at 'Engineer Your Future'

The Wolfson Unit has been chosen as one of three exhibitors to showcase their expertise in a four year exhibition held at the Science Museum in London called ‘Engineer Your Future’. The exhibition’s primary sponsor is National Grid and with additional support from Engineering UK and the Royal Academy of Engineering and is aimed at 11-15 year olds. It has been designed to inspire the upcoming generation to choose engineering as a career and to illustrate the wide variety of subject areas and challenges that face modern engineers.

The exhibition was opened by HRH Prince of Wales on the 16th December 2014.

The Wolfson Unit has showcased a sailing yacht wind tunnel model used during Emirates Team New Zealand’s Version 5 Americas Cup challenge in 2007. The model was tested in the 7x5 wind tunnel at the University of Southampton to develop and predict the sailing performance of the yacht.
